Semrush Lifetime Deal: Does It Exist? (No, 12 Alternatives)
By Alston Antony · September 29, 2026
No, Semrush doesn't sell a lifetime deal. Its cheapest paid plan is SEO at $139/month with monthly billing, or $117.33/month when billed annually.
Semrush is a subscription, and even the entry plan costs $1,668 over a year at the monthly rate. Site owners and freelancers who only need rank tracking or audits often look for a way to pay once instead. The table below lists SEO tools with a lifetime deal available right now.

The address semrush.com/prices/ now redirects to a pricing page for its SEO and AI search plans. The page shows the annual price first, with the monthly rate next to it. Annual billing saves up to 17%, according to the page. Prices below were checked on September 29, 2026, and are shown in US dollars.

Some points worth knowing before you compare Semrush with a one-time purchase:
- MCP access, for connecting Semrush data to AI assistants, is listed from Starter up, not on the SEO plan.
- Historical SEO data and content optimization start at Pro+. API data integration starts at Advanced.
- Extra users are an add-on, starting at $45/month.
- The pricing FAQ says you can cancel, downgrade or upgrade at any time, unless you have custom terms and a signed agreement.
What about AppSumo?
AppSumo has a product page for Semrush. When we checked it on September 29, 2026, it described features such as keyword research, competitor analysis, backlink gap and site audits, but it listed no price and no plan to buy. A search for “semrush” on AppSumo returned seven other SEO and content tools, not Semrush.
That means there is no Semrush lifetime deal to buy on AppSumo. If you find one advertised on another site, check who is selling the access and whether Semrush allows it before you pay anything.
With a lifetime deal, you pay once and keep access for as long as the product is running. It is not a guarantee that the tool lasts forever. Our explainer on what a lifetime deal is covers the basics and the usual terms.
SEO software is harder to sell this way than most tools, because keyword databases, backlink data and rank checks all cost money to keep fresh. Before you buy, look at these points:
- Data source. Ask whether the tool collects its own data or licenses it from a third-party provider. Licensed data can change in price or coverage.
- Tracked keywords and refresh rate. Semrush’s SEO plan tracks 500 keywords daily. Check how many keywords a lifetime tier includes and whether positions update daily or weekly.
- Projects and sites. Freelancers and agencies often hit the project cap before the keyword cap.
- Country and language coverage. Make sure the keyword data covers the markets you work in.
- Feature updates. Find out whether new features come to your tier or go into separate plans and add-ons.
- Refund terms. Know how long you have to test the tool and how the refund works.
- Company history. Look at the vendor’s age, update log and support response times.
- Export options. You should be able to export projects, keyword lists and reports if the product changes direction or closes.
The cost gap is easy to see. At the monthly rate, 12 months of the SEO plan costs $1,668 and 24 months costs $3,336. Billed annually, a year of the SEO plan comes to $1,407.96.
What you give up with a lifetime tool is breadth. Semrush bundles keyword research, competitor analysis, position tracking, site audits and AI search tracking into one account. Lifetime SEO tools usually do fewer things, with fixed monthly caps that don’t grow unless you buy a higher tier.
A common middle path is to use a lifetime tool for the daily basics, such as tracking rankings or running audits, and to use the Semrush free plan or a short paid month for deeper research. Since Semrush lets you cancel or downgrade at any time, a paid month here and there is an option.
